Don’t Miss Out! Discover Perth Property Market Trends for 2024

2024 property trends

It is no surprise that real estate websites are predicting further housing price hikes of up to 5-7 percent for 2024. With claims of population booms in Perth and calls to increase mortgage serviceability thresholds, Perth is tipped to see an influx of buyers for residential off-the-plan sites and community development homes in 2024. Dozens of projects are due to be completed between 2024-2025, so there are plenty of options to consider buying now and plan for property settlements ahead of time.

In reality, you can spend hours scrolling the web for great property projects to buy off-the-plan, only to find that the perfect properties were snapped up before you even knew they existed. It can be frustrating!

So we at KDD Conveyancing have found some Perth residential property projects that you might want to consider in 2024.

INNER NORTHERN PERTH SUBURBS RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENTS

One private project that caught our eye this year was the Olive St. Apartments project located in the heart of Subiaco. Due to be completed in mid-2025, this development is offering units from as little as $535K with up to $50K off stamp duty. If you have been looking for an apartment in the inner north suburbs that is new and fitted with wall-to-wall luxuries and the latest mod cons, this is worth a gander.

The West Karrinyup Village project is also one to look out for for the luxury home enthusiast, and being right next to a premium shopping centre is a great perk. Right now, the promise of one of the best ocean views in the city is enough to see these off-the-plan apartments sell like hotcakes. They’re priced from around $599K with natural finishings and native botanical vibes.

SOUTHERN PERTH CITY RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENTS

While the North has its beaches and green parks, let’s not forget about the South’s suburbs. Just north of Southern River is the Harrisdale Green Community development for suburban families who love living in communities with full amenities like parks, shops and other community hubs. If apartments are too small for you and you need space with room to grow, you can secure one of these desirable blocks of land for around $175K or perhaps consider an off-the-plan house and land package.

Further south is the Mahala property development in Forrestdale, which offers land from $200k as well as off-the-plan house and land packages with neighbouring bushland and parks for families to grow. This is ideal for a family looking to move away from the busy urban CBD hustle and live closer to nature in the quieter suburbs. With amenities like schools, shops, playgrounds and more only a few streets away, this is an opportunity to thrive in a close community and make lifelong neighbours turned friends.

FREMANTLE RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENTS AND SURROUNDS

Near the Fremantle Arts Centre is the Artisan Place Muse residential development, offering modern living and style in the historic port city precinct on Burt Street. This development is definitely one to consider, as there are around 77 boutique apartments posed for sale soon, with suggestions that they will be gone before the end of 2024.

South of Peppermint Grove is The Grove Residences residential project, located close to Cottesloe and Claremont town centres. This development is due to be completed in 2024 and promises opulent living spaces with island life vibes, nestled between the Swan River and the sea. With films that paint a luxurious picture of life in the Grove, you can almost picture yourself there, relaxing by the pool.

WHERE TO FIND PERTH DEVELOPMENT LISTINGS

If none of the above residential development listings tickled your interest, you can visit the Development WA listing site for information on West Australian development projects in commencement or newly listed planning projects and submit requests to stay informed.

For those who are still a few years away from buying a dream property, you can view the progress of proposed developments and watch for their approval in the suburbs of your choosing. Alternatively, you can visit individual Perth developer-owned websites to see their current list of projects. Or you can browse the West Australian online publication or local community papers for property ads.
